Why are my clients seeing this screen?
New York State requires businesses that pass on credit card processing fees to disclose the total price a customer will pay before they choose a payment method, so that consumers know upfront what they'll be charged depending on how they pay.
This is a New York-specific regulation. If your venue is located outside New York, your clients won't see this screen. The review screen appears when you pass processing fees on to the client.

How are the totals calculated?
The review screen shows your event's estimated total alongside a breakdown of what the client would pay by credit card versus bank transfer (ACH). The event total is pulled from your reservation details in Ande. For Tripleseat events, this directly pulls from the grand total on the event in Tripleseat. This value is fetched live every time the client opens the paylink. If you update the total, the review screen will reflect the new number.
Note: after you update a total in Tripleseat, it can take up to 5 minutes for the change to appear on the paylink. If a client opens the link right after you've made an edit, they may briefly see the previous amount.
Credit card processing fee applied to total
The review screen uses 4% (the maximum possible rate) as the credit card processing fee rate. Actual fees vary by card type and may be lower (learn more). New York's regulation requires disclosing the highest price a customer could pay. For bank transfers (ACH), there's no processing fee, so the ACH total matches the base amount.
Please reach out to your Ande account manager with any questions or issues.
