Do we need to disclose Ande as a payment processor in client contracts?

No — you're not required to disclose it. Using Ande payment links doesn't create any disclosure obligation in your event contracts.

Optional language you can use

If you'd like to include a line for clarity with your clients, you're welcome to use this:

"Ande is the venue's payment provider and merchant of record for this event. You're paying Ande, which processes the payment on the venue's behalf and remits the funds to the venue. Your receipt, invoice, and W-9 will come from Ande, and the venue remains responsible for the event itself."

What does "merchant of record" mean?

Ande is the entity that charges your client. Ande processes the payment on your venue's behalf and remits the funds to you. Because of this, your client's receipt, invoice, and any W-9 they request come from Ande — not from your venue. See the Ande Payments Finance FAQ for how payouts, refunds, and disputes work.

Where can clients review Ande's terms?

Ande's public Terms of Service are available at ande.ai/terms. For questions about how client data is handled, see How Ande Handles Your Data and Your Clients' Data.
