How does Ande calculate event spend?
Event spend is the total expected cost of an event. For events linked to Tripleseat, Ande pulls this number directly from your Tripleseat event record — it always reflects the latest value in Tripleseat, so if you update the event total there, Ande will pick up the change automatically.
For events that aren't linked to Tripleseat (such as events created through a manual paylink), event spend is based on the estimated total entered when the reservation was created in Ande.
How does Ande calculate total paid?
Total paid is the sum of all payments collected for an event, from two sources:
Payments made through Ande — deposits and charges processed through Ande paylinks
Non-Ande payments from Tripleseat — any other payments recorded in your Tripleseat event (checks, wire transfers, in-store payments, etc.)
For events not linked to Tripleseat, total paid only includes Ande payments, since there's no Tripleseat record to pull additional payments from.
Note: In some cases, Ande's total paid may not perfectly match what you see in Tripleseat. This can happen if Ande payments haven't been logged to Tripleseat yet, or if there's a discrepancy that our matching algorithm didn't catch. If the numbers don't look right, contact your Ande account manager and we'll help sort it out.
Why do I see Tripleseat payments in my Ande venue portal?
Ande shows Tripleseat payments alongside Ande payments so you can see the full payment picture for each event in one place — without switching between systems.
Note: Tripleseat payment cards are clearly marked and are read-only in Ande. You can't edit or take action on them from within Ande; they're there for visibility only. The payment data is pulled live from Tripleseat each time you view the page, so it always reflects your current Tripleseat records.
Does our Tripleseat data become Ande's data?
No. The Tripleseat payment records shown in your venue portal are read-only and pulled live from Tripleseat — they're there for visibility only, and Ande does not repurpose your Tripleseat data beyond showing it back to you. For more on how Ande handles your data, see How Ande Handles Your Data and Your Clients' Data.
Why does my outstanding balance in Ande look different from Tripleseat?
There are a few reasons the numbers might not match:
Ande payments that haven't been logged to Tripleseat yet. If a client paid through an Ande paylink but that payment hasn't been logged to Tripleseat, Ande's total paid will include it but Tripleseat's won't. Logging Ande payments to Tripleseat keeps both systems in sync. You can log payments from the Chrome extension or venue portal.
Timing. Ande pulls Tripleseat data live, but there can be a brief delay. If you just recorded a payment in Tripleseat, give it a moment and refresh the page.
