Managing Automatic Status Updates in TripleSeat

Ande can automatically update event statuses in TripleSeat based on certain actions. If your team prefers to manage statuses manually, these settings can be adjusted.

When status changes may occur

Depending on your configuration:

  • An inquiry or request submitted through Ande may create or update an event in TripleSeat.

  • A payment submitted through Ande may automatically change an event’s status (for example, from Tentative to Definite).

If this does not align with your internal workflow, the behavior can be modified.

Available configuration options You can request changes to:

  • Whether inquiries/requests create or update events in TripleSeat

  • Whether payments trigger automatic status updates

How to request changes

To adjust these settings, contact your Account Manager and include:

  • The statuses your team uses in TripleSeat

  • Which automatic updates you would like turned off

  • A brief description of your preferred workflow

Your Account Manager will coordinate the necessary configuration changes.

How event statuses affect the availability guests see

Statuses don't only get written by Ande — they're also read to decide what the agent shows guests as available. This is fully customizable per venue: you choose which statuses should make a date appear unavailable.

  • For example, you can have the agent still offer dates that only hold a prospective event, but treat tentative holds as unavailable.

  • Or you can have it treat a date as unavailable only once an event is Definite.

Let your Account Manager know how you'd like each status read, and they'll configure it to match your workflow.
